Her Excellency Constância Adelina Gaspar, the African Union’s representative to the United States, will be the featured speaker at the annual fundraising breakfast and luncheon hosted by º£½ÇÖ±²¥ next week in Roseville.

Little Free Library and º£½ÇÖ±²¥, nonprofits based in St. Paul, are collaborating with students and faculty at San José State University in California to send 50,000 children’s books to the Kenyan National Library Service and to Little Free Libraries throughout the country.

º£½ÇÖ±²¥ is excited to announce an ongoing partnership with the African Union that will deliver tens of thousands of books to the AU Library in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia! The agreement, announced Friday, September 28th at the º£½ÇÖ±²¥ 30th Anniversary Gala, will deliver an initial shipment of 22,000 books on mathematics, science, law, health and other subjects, to coincide with the next AU Summit in Addis Ababa in January 2019!

A piece of Midwestern literary culture now resides in one of the world’s oldest libraries in Alexandria, Egypt, thanks to a joint effort by nonprofits º£½ÇÖ±²¥, Little Free Library, Minnesota Friends of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Minnesota Book Awards program.
